CODE OF CONDUCT


1. INTRODUCTION

INTERSKI SLOVAKIA is a leading organization in the field of winter sports in Slovakia, emphasizing professionalism, safety, ethics, and innovation.

This Code establishes the standards of conduct for all members, instructors, coaches, and collaborators of the organization. It also serves as a reference for the public and prospective members.

2. PRINCIPLES AND VALUES

2.1 Professionalism

  • Members of INTERSKI SLOVAKIA shall always act professionally, representing the highest standard of expertise.

  • They shall prioritize continuous education and the enhancement of their skills in line with the latest advancements in winter sports.

  • They shall not mislead regarding their professional status, competencies, or experience.

2.2 Safety and Responsibility

  • The safety of course participants, the public, and all individuals present in the mountain environment is the highest priority.

  • Members shall comply with safety procedures and use equipment in accordance with international standards.

  • They shall adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations when constructing and maintaining infrastructure in mountain areas.

  • They shall not provide paid instruction without the written consent and recognition of the relevant resort's ski school.

  • They shall act professionally, safely, and responsibly, with an emphasis on integrity and self-control.

2.3 Ethics and Respect

  • All INTERSKI SLOVAKIA members shall act honestly and transparently.

  • They shall respect colleagues, students, partners, and all participants in winter sports.

  • They shall not discriminate against anyone based on race, religion, age, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or nationality.

  • They shall not engage in any form of harassment towards clients, employees, INTERSKI SLOVAKIA members, or the public.

2.4 Fairness and Integrity

  • Members shall adhere to the principles of equality and fairness in all aspects of their activities.

  • They shall not discriminate based on age, gender, nationality, or other factors.

  • They shall not engage in fraudulent, dishonest, or misleading conduct.

2.5 Environmental Protection

  • INTERSKI SLOVAKIA supports sustainable sports activities with an emphasis on protecting the mountain environment.

  • Members commit to adhering to ecological practices.

3. STANDARDS OF CONDUCT

3.1 Responsibility in Instruction

  • Instructors and coaches shall provide training in accordance with the INTERSKI SLOVAKIA methodology and international standards.

  • They shall ensure fair treatment for all students without discrimination.

  • They shall not offer unauthorized or illegal training outside of approved programs.

  • They must not provide paid instruction without the written consent and recognition of the relevant resort's ski school.

3.2 Conflict of Interest

  • Members shall not abuse their position to gain unfair advantages.

  • Any conflict of interest must be reported to the organization's management.

  • They shall not accept gifts or benefits that could influence their professional decisions.

  • They shall not misuse privileges associated with their membership in INTERSKI SLOVAKIA.

3.3 Use of the INTERSKI SLOVAKIA Brand

  • The logo, name, and identity of INTERSKI SLOVAKIA may only be used with the organization's consent.

  • Members must not represent the organization without authorization.

  • They must not allow their name or likeness to be misused for misleading advertising of any product or service.

3.4 Public Conduct and Representation

  • Every member of INTERSKI SLOVAKIA is an ambassador of the organization and must conduct themselves with dignity.

  • They must not damage the organization's reputation publicly or on social media.

  • When communicating in media and on social networks, members must maintain a professional and representative tone.

  • They must not misrepresent their professional status, competencies, or experience.

3.5 Protection of Integrity and Honesty

  • Cheating, dishonest behavior, or intentionally misleading the public will not be tolerated.

  • Every member is obligated to report any violation of this Code.

4. CONSEQUENCES OF CODE VIOLATION

Violation of the Code may lead to disciplinary action, including:

  • Warning or reprimand;

  • Temporary suspension of membership;

  • Revocation of certificates and licenses;

  • Exclusion from the organization without the possibility of appeal.

Violation of the Code may also be a determining factor in rejecting a membership application. Disciplinary proceedings and the evaluation of Code violations will be handled by the Board of Directors of INTERSKI SLOVAKIA, which has the authority to decide on sanctions and implement corrective measures.

5. FINAL PROVISIONS

This Code is binding for all members of INTERSKI SLOVAKIA. By becoming a member, every individual agrees to abide by its provisions. INTERSKI SLOVAKIA reserves the right to update this Code as needed.
