Basic Structure and Mission

INTERSKI SLOVAKIA does not include active athletes as its main members, but is composed solely of organizations and legal entities that bring together experts and their representatives from various fields, whose activities focus on:

Education of instructors, coaches, and ski teachers

Safety and avalanche prevention

Environmental protection on ski slopes

Development and operation of sports infrastructure

Academic and methodological education

Research and innovation

Coordination of strategic sports projects

Organizational Structure of INTERSKI SLOVAKIA

The foundation consists of:

Board of Directors – the President and two Vice-Presidents

Secretary General with the Legislative Commission

Four specialized institutes, which bring together additional expert organizations and professionals:

• National Institute of Ski Instructors – Education and certification of professional instructors in the area of basic skiing instruction.

• National Institute of Coaches – Covers experts in performance and elite coaching within the racing and club environment.

• National Institute of Academic Education – Connects the academic community, science, and research, and develops professional standards and methodologies.

• Institute for Snow Sports Safety and Nature Protection – Focused on safety in snow sports, avalanche prevention, and environmental protection.

International Representation

INTERSKI SLOVAKIA also holds a strong position internationally:

• Active member of INTERSKI INTERNATIONAL

• Official representation in ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association) through SAPUL

• Candidate member of IVSI (International Association of Snow Sports Instructors – Volunteers), IAESS (International Association for Science and Snow Sports Education), and ISSS (International Society for Snowsports Safety), where it operates as a respected partner within the global Interski community.
